💡 Are we hitting peak work-from-home?
When the invitation to speak at Notion Miami's first meetup landed in my inbox, I was buzzing with excitement. Not only could I share the projects I've been passionately working on, but I was also eager to see just how many like-minded individuals would show up.
How many Notion fans are out there, really?
The event was a revelation, spotlighting the irreplaceable value of face-to-face connections. I had no idea that so many people would brave the rain and venture to Downtown Miami—most sticking around for the entire three-hour event!
So, what's so special about being in person?
Beyond making new acquaintances, the real magic of in-person interactions lies in the enriching variety of conversations you have—especially with people outside your usual circle.
In my life as a work-from-home consultant, my days usually consist of two types of chats: client meetings and sales calls.
Don't get me wrong, I'm always intrigued by how my clients' businesses operate, especially since I get to work with companies across various industries. But the scope of my interactions is still somewhat limited, especially when confined to Zoom.
It makes me wonder: How many remote workers, freelancers, and consultants out there feel the same way? Sure, working from home has its perks, but there's a nostalgic pull towards the days of in-person work.
I don't foresee a full return to office life, but I do anticipate a shift toward hybrid models. These setups would allow for periodic in-person gatherings, fulfilling our innate need for deeper, more meaningful connections—both professionally and personally.
What’s your situation? Are you fully remote, in office, or a combination of both? I’d love to hear your take on this, and how you think work will change moving forward. :)
🤔 Did You Know?
You can now freeze columns in databases!
Okay this is a small update but a good one!
You can now freeze multiple columns in table view, a huge improvement, especially for bulky databases. This makes managing lots of data much easier; a welcome improvement. 😍
🗞️ Personal Updates
Notion en Miami’s First Ever Meetup was a Huge Success!
I can’t tell you how energizing it felt to be around other Notion power-users, in person. It was definitely a wake up call on how motivating it can be to just be around new people, learn about their work, interests, and hobbies, and come together over our shared passion for Notion (this feels so cult-y to say but it’s true!)
This event could not have been possible without the leadership of my new friend, Ernesto Mandowsky, an awesome human and local Notion champion.
In the case you're in Miami (or know others), we’re trying to grow the community, would love for more people to sign up to stay informed on future events!

🗞️ Awesome Notion Newsletters
3-2-1 by Rames Quinerie
I’m founding more and more amazing newsletters from Notion creators, and figured I’d share with you!
I love Rames’s newsletter, primarily because each issue has a different focus – it never feels repetitive or too specialized. I also appreciate sharing new Notion-related products – lately, it feels like there’s too many to keep up with!
